- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup shortening
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tsp white vanilla extract (clear)
- 8 cups (2 lb) confectioners sugar

Cream butter and shortening together until smooth. Gradually add sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
