- 2 boxes cake flour
- 2 lbs unsalted butter (real butter)
- 4 boxes powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Whip butter for about 15 minutes until feather light - (This step is critical for the consistency of the cookies). Add 1 full box (1 lb) of powdered sugar. Whip again. Sift in cake flour.
Add vanilla and walnuts (chopped very fine). Spread out on floured surface and cut into diamond shapes. Bake at 350 until lightly browned. Cool, then cover with powdered sugar.
