CREAM TOGETHER:

- ½ cup soft butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

SIFT TOGETHER AND ADD:

- 1 ¾ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cocoa

Chill dough. Drop with teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes. Frost with chocolate icing when cooled.
