grandma's white bread

* * * for cabbage buns, bread, fried bread and dinner rolls

- 2 quarts warm water
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup oil
- 2 packages yeast - dissolved in 1 cup water
with a little sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- 5 lbs. flour


Combine all ingredients. Make dough stiff. Let raise once, punch down, raise again, punch down, raise again, punch down. Bake at 350-375 degrees for 1 hour.
