bran muffins

 

Bring to boil to melt shortening then set aside to cool.

- 2 cups water
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups all bran

Beat together and add to the cooled mix

- 4 eggs
- 4 cups all bran
- 5 cups flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 5 tsp soda
- 2 tsp salt

Store dough in fridge up to 8 weeks. Fill tin 2/3 full.
Bake for 20 minutes @ 400 degrees.
