- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 packages (10 oz each) frozen strawberries (sweetened, sliced and slightly thawed)
- 4 quarts (16 cups) cranberry juice, chilled
- 1 liter sprite (lemon-lime soda)
Boil sugar and water over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and allow to cool (this will make a syrup). To serve punch, place strawberries in a large container (at least 1 ½ gallon). Pour the wine and sprite over the strawberries and stir to separate the strawberries. Add 1 tablespoon of syrup to mixture at a time, stirring well after each time. Serve immediately.
