spirit + soul + body (BODY = your physical body) about your body... We are triune beings - we live in a BODY, we have a soul (which is our mind, will, emotions and imagination) and we are a spirit. In the Bible in 1Thessalonians 5:23b it states: "...and may your SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless..." stating the three parts of mankind. As you will see throughout our website, we believe it's important to live a balanced life in each every of our lives in order to live your best life. All too often we focus on one area or the other and neglect the rest, only to find that we still aren't satisfied, and there is still something missing. Our bodies are that which is a part of this physical, natural world and operates according to the 5 physical senses. Our bodies depend on us to function properly and although we were created magnificently, we have proof of what happens when one does not take proper care of their BODY. Many people and businesses place the focus of SPIRIT as last and least important (ex: Mind, Body and Spirit or Body, Mind and Spirit), but here at THE HIGHEST LIFE we value and hold precious our SPIRIT and place the most importance on our SPIRIT, then our SOUL and once you put those in proper perspective, taking care of your BODY will fall right into place. Only after you have a firm and lasting foundation in life, can you successfully begin to bring into line your SOUL and BODY and in this section we are going to discuss the BODY. Just look around you and you will see the physical state of man. We have been conditioned by companies, the media in all forms, celebrities and more - on how we are to live. Too thin, too fat, too short, too tall - we have a deep fascination with our bodies. And, yes, we all in some sense fall prey to all the voices out there, but we have to watch so we don't get off base and end up ruining our bodies along the way. An eleven year old child should not have diabetes. People should not be dying at the age of 35 from heart attacks. People should not be in a continual state of sickness year round. If you know how the BODY functions and why the BODY operates the way it does, it's so much easier to understand the need for exercise, live foods, fresh air, restful sleep, stress free environments and more. You'll see why cutting back on processed foods isn't just a way to keep people from enjoying their food - but to keep them living longer and healthier. There are reasons why certain foods do not work in our BODY. There are reasons why too much sugar is dangerous, why eating fast food 3 times a day can be deadly, why exercise is a vital part of a person's daily routine, why restful, peaceful sleep is necessary for the body to replenish itself, why drinking clean water is vital for your BODY to function at it's best and the list goes on and on. We believe that our triune being is tied together and one area can't operate without the others in good, working condition.
